I recently had a C&P Examine with Dr Hickman on January 15, 2025. My appointment lasted less than 12 minutes and we didn't go over the DBQ but the focus was on my family life according to his assignment from VA. After getting a copy of his report, I must say that I was left in awe, shock, disbelief and appalled with his results. Stop! Do not attend a C&P exam with this man! I worked in the USAF in the Mental Health career field and this so called exam was a joke! The doctor spent about 10 minutes with me, did not do any standardized testing, did not ask about symptoms, did not ask about the medication I was on- nothing! He asked questions about academics but did not clarify timelines (for example he said I couldn’t have a diagnosis because I had completed an Associates degree, but failed to note that I completed it YEARS before my diagnosis and symp... read more
Thank you Dr. Hickman! You spent over a hour with me during my 70% to 100% PTSD Increase C & P exam. It was absolutely clear to me that you do care about your fellow vets especially those of us who are Combat Vets with real PTSD stressers who suffer from complex trauma. PLEASE READ!!! Brothers and sisters, if you have an appointment with this guy, please please please please I am begging you to reschedule. Every negative review is absolutely true and you should run the other way. After visiting Scott o. Hickman’s office for my va c&p, he was very very rude. Very unmotivated to do his job. My experience with Dr. Hickman was deeply disappointing, especially considering his role in conducting C&P exams for service members. His lack of compassion and disregard for military service was evident throughout the entire process. During the examination, Dr. Hickman displayed a complete lack of interest in understanding my military experiences and the challenges I've faced.
