We saw Scott for premarital counseling prior (and after) becoming a “blended” family. For couple needs: He was very helpful in providing methods and frameworks for how to navigate communication - about anything - feelings, domestic duties, conflict etc For blended family aspect: We did not bring kid/s to the sessions ever, but were able to describe experiences and get a ton of help in how to be the best step/parents we could be. Dr. Salathe is great. We have been to other therapists, but nothing has compared to the experience we have had with Dr. Salathe. He took the time to really listen, he knew the right times to push when we needed it, and was very supportive along the way. He is very experienced in the EFT approach and because of his help, our marriage has never been better in over 20 years.

Scott has had an amazing impact on my life and marriage, all for the positive. Dr. Salathe is an esteemed colleague and a highly ethical psychologist. I regularly refer to him for couples work as he does a wonderful job providing EFT (Emotion Focused Therapy). I have previously worked alongside him and was impressed with his ability to help couples heal from marital woes.

Scott quickly established trust and helped make me feel as comfortable and as supported as possible in a couples counseling context. He is kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. He was fair and firm in setting healthy boundaries in the couples counseling therapy space.
