I’ve had a very positive experience with Scotiabank. The staff are always welcoming and friendly from the moment you walk in. They take the time to listen, explain things clearly, and do their best to help with whatever you need. It’s great to deal with a team that’s both professional and kind. Their customer service makes banking here feel comfortable and easy. Highly recommend!

This branch of the bank is a disaster with new employees who need more training. They opened an account for me and now they are asking me for a thousand forms of documents for a $1500 credit card. I have been in Canada for two years with a good credit score but every day they ask for a new document for a $1500 new credit card but I have $18,000 in credit cards at CIBC right now. Terrible customer service at Scotiabank. I just wanted to close my account and instead got bounced between employees like it was some kind of game. No one seemed to care or want to help. Felt completely disrespected and ignored. Seriously disappointed.
I’m beyond frustrated with how Scotiabank treated me. Tried to close my account and ended up wasting hours at the branch dealing with staff who wouldn’t take accountability. They kept passing me off and I left feeling disrespected and unimportant. This is not how a bank should treat people.
