I’ve been a Scotiabank customer for years and have never had any issues at other branches. Unfortunately, my recent experience at this branch was very disappointing. I went in to get a bank draft. I provided my Ontario photo ID, inserted my debit card, and entered my PIN. Despite this, the teller asked for my passport, which I did not have with me. She then asked for my mother’s maiden name. Really don’t like this bank they close at 5 pm and today when I come to the bank because somebody was taking money out off my account The taler didn’t explain properly I have to call the fraud department to cancel my card so when I called them they told me I have to go to the bank again to pick up my new card Rebecca the teller should explain this when I was there so I don’t have go to the branch twice
According to the floor manager of this location you cannot do banking anywhere other than in the branch you opened your account at. Scotia wrongly charged me twice and they were helpless over the phone so I had to come in person to the nearest branch. Trying to get your well earned money back is an impossible task. Manager is trying to belittle you any chance he gets. Calling basic customer service a “kind doing”. Would not recommend this location to anyone who would like to be treated as a human.
