Time consuming
Very disappointed with Scotiabank North York branch. I called customer service before coming, and they told me I could pay my loan installment in cash at the branch. I went there in person, but the branch refused to accept the cash payment and told me to bring a bank draft instead. I had to go all the way to TD Bank, get a draft, and come back again. I had been dealing with an issue on my business debit card since September and after visiting multiple branches, no one seemed able to figure out what was wrong or how to fix it. Vita/Buta was the person I was speaking to and she mentioned that cash to coin wasn't accepted unless you're a Scotiabank client. I'm with Scotiabank. For many years including last month, I've been going to Scotiabank near my home to exchange cash to coin without issues. The rudeness and unhelpfulness is appauling.
This branch is excellent. We had an appointment to discuss investment accounts, and our advisor, Mrs. Samar Nazari, was incredibly helpful. She did everything she could to provide us with the best options. I'd also like to thank her colleague, Miss Tiffany, who kindly addressed our credit card issue at the same time. I also appreciate our bank teller, Miss Sahar, for her great time management, which ensured we didn't have to wait for too long on the day of appointment.
