Extremely poor experience here. The fees I pay for my small business accounts are excessive and far from transparent. Accounts I thought I closed are quietly accumulating charges behind the scenes. Tools I have never used appear years later with enormous fees attached. I have attempted both by phone and in person to delete the extra tools and accounts (sitting there unused) and receive pushback at best, flat out refusal at worst. Bad customer service
Very bad experience I had a company who owned me some money for my business and eventually they decided to pay me after 8 months so I deposted cheque at this branch and they estimated that as fraudulent activity and closed my account just like that. I said to the branch manager if anyone had called I would explain what happened or brought another cheque but it seems she doesn't care.
The tellers at this branch are always friendly and helpful — excellent customer service every time I visit. That said, the place is freezing. It would improve the experience if they turned the heat up a lot bit.
I’m disappointed with my experience at Scotiabank. They locked me into a mortgage rate of 3.9%, even though the Bank of Canada rate stayed around 2.7% during that time. It feels like they took advantage instead of helping their customers adjust to the market. On top of that, they’ve been collecting $500 every month from me for property taxes.
