Very disappointing experience at this Scotiabank branch. I attempted to deposit a certified cheque issued directly by Scotiabank into an account where I have regularly deposited similar amounts. Despite this, I was told I would only have access to $1,000, with no effort made to review my account history or provide a reasonable explanation. I was then given incorrect and contradictory guidance about depositing the cheque at another branch first, which made no sense given that the cheque was already certified by Scotiabank. The staff here have very poor customer service and do not treat customers with respect. Their behavior is unprofessional, unfriendly, and completely disappointing. I do not recommend this place at all.
Extremely poor experience here. The fees I pay for my small business accounts are excessive and far from transparent. Accounts I thought I closed are quietly accumulating charges behind the scenes. Tools I have never used appear years later with enormous fees attached. I have attempted both by phone and in person to delete the extra tools and accounts (sitting there unused) and receive pushback at best, flat out refusal at worst.
