Tried for two weeks of my vacation to put 43000 of my money into a registered account. Tried online first then went to the bank. Couldn't get an appointment during my vacation. I can understand getting a loan and having to wait. I can't fathom not wanting the money that you're going to lend out at a higher rate than you're giving to be expedited. Poorly managed system. Great branch!!
I just had the most unprofessional and unusual experience at this branch with the brand new branch manager. And the reason that I know he’s brand new is because when I asked him about my request, he told me he’s only been there for two days he’s new and he doesn’t know anything! This was over a $32 service charge reversal request for my daughter. On a student account package. He flat out, refused to help me as he stated he doesn’t know anything about the process. Terrible, not the branch but the company as a whole. I was blamed for a fraud on my accounts of over 30k. My accounts were locked up from March 5th until April 10th. I had no income during that time. I lost my streaming services, had to borrow and withdraw investments to get through this. Being a senior it has been stressful in fact I ended up at the mental health crisis center due to lack help or interest in my situation from Scotia bank. Once I wrap things up my accounts of over 30 yes will be closed. I will bank elsewhere... read more
