We have dealt with them for years for both home mortgage and business. Lately though they have embraced woke ideology. They are also including "digital hours" in their actual business hours of operation. You will not get an actual teller after 3PM.
I don't recommend Scotia Bank to any working class person, they do not care about their clients. I've had a joint account for three months now and my account was set up wrong twice, all my paychecks are held for five business days ( unless it's direct deposit). Today I was told they are switching to digital banking and are only open until 3pm. After that you have to use the machine. What bank is only open until 3 pm? I just needed loonies to do some laundry, they were open for two more hours but no tellers working. Wouldn't get me any loonies, what's the point of even being open past 3 if they aren't really open? Very frustrating
I do NOT recommend this bank. They claim that your personal info is "safe and secure", it's NOT. That is a BIG fat lie. I've received a letter in the mail that stated my personal info was STOLEN by a Scotiabank EMPLOYEE. By personal info I'm talking my name, home address, SIN, account numbers and account balances. I've been a customer for 30 years and I've closed my account. Trust is permanently broken. Can't do business with a bank who betrayed my trust.
