Very slow and poor service.
I’ve been a Scotiabank customer for over 30 years, so I know what good service looks like. After moving to Leslieville I decided to try this branch despite the low ratings - and unfortunately those ratings are warranted. The advisor I dealt with, Pierson Bernard, was condescending and unprofessional throughout our entire interaction. I was fine with him being unable to help me — that happens. Staff needs more knowledge about basic operational procedures. I was there to close my account which was inactive for years. I asked if fees could be refunded they said no. They also said that since the account was deactive they'll have to activate it and then I'll have to visit any branch after 24hrs. I asked if this can be done via call center they said no.
