The service at this branch is reprehensible. Imagine you're a young man and you suddenly find yourself a widow with a small child. Besides the love of your life, you've lost your second income and you don't know the details of your debt. Is it insured, when do the payments come out, which account???? Despite death certificate and ID in hand, a teller, who serves you at the counter, can only book you an appointment with someone in a week's time. She can't look up any information. Person never called us for our phone appointment... the appointment was for an hour and we waited the entire time of our appointment and never got a call... Terrible service...
A true gong show. Needed to replace my credit card. Asked to have it delivered to the nearest branch, Stittsville Main. Several days after making the request received a “welcome” email on 18 June indicating that the new card would be available 5 - 7 business days later. I patiently waited until today, 4 July, to confirm the card’s availability. The branch had not received it. Scotia gave me a few days notice about a rate change on a loan. Said they can't do anything about it over the phone. Tell me a teller in a branch can help. As soon as I am physically able to go into a branch they said to book an appointment or they can't help. It's literally the deadline for this. Guess I will be moving all my business away from scotia. They are literally the worst bank to deal with.
