My doctor prescribed me a heart monitor. During that discussion I asked if the length of time that I wore the heart monitor would matter in regard to insurance, my Dr said said it would not matter and made it sound like the monitor was a standard procedure that essentially all insurance would cover. Then, when I picked up the monitor I asked if I owed any money, they said no. So I was blindsided when I ended up with a nearly $700 bill in the mail.
