The first and only time I saw her, this was the experience I had:She sat down and said “let me tell you everything I know about you from reading your charts,” and proceeded to spout off a bunch of surface level things in a very condescending tone. Went to her as PCP for about 5 yrs. She focuses and takes up time talking about herself a lot but as a whole she was available to help me with my issues. She then suddenly "wasn't registered with MAPS" but this was state wide for all PCP. She in one month time stopped 4 scripts 2 of which were scheduled without a taper. Not the best Dr. I've had but also far from worse. Give her try unless you have a serious enough issue that you should get more personalized care.
Horrible dr. she only cares about money. Husband had to see her every month to fill scripts but if he asked to look into his sore throat, his cold, etc.. She would not even run tests or anything. "Just get some cough drops", she says. He asked about ancestry tests, she got mad. She's white/German, my husband is white and she's made several racist comments about other races. She prescribed him a narcotic, he didn't want it, she got mad. Then she took it away. He lost job cause he was off meds.
I have been going to Dr. Schwutke for about 7 years and up until recently I was ok with her. She wasn't the best doctor for me but more conveniently located and that's the reason I stayed. Just recently (and reason for bad review) I am having trouble getting my prescription filled. I called 8 times and seen the doctor and still RX was only sent over for a 30 day supply no refills. Still today I am having trouble and I just had to call again. I am finding a new doctor that would appreciate me.
I went to this Dr. to establish a relationship with a St. John physician since my insurance covers me with Ascension providers. I waited 40 mins for her to come in the room. I have had Lupus for over 20 years and I have fibromyalgia and multiple back injuries. I must also state that I am a registered nurse for the Ascension system. I have had chronic pain since I was 12. She told me she does not treat people with chronic pain. All I take is Tramadol and my meds for lupus. What a waste of a Dr.
Was hoping Dr. Schwutke could be my father new primary care doctor but ending up leaving without seeing her. We waited over an hour in the waiting and when I asked her staff if this was normal, she responded that she usually runs late. This certainly doesn't make me feel that the doctor cares about her patients.
