This has been our go to shop for 8 years, but we will be looking for a new one. Had a pair of shocks and mounts replaced in 2024 and then had a warranty issue with one shock when I was 3 hours from Edmonton. My vehicle could not be driven back to Edmonton as the shock had broken and was rubbing on my tire. Had both the local shop and Schwabes speak to us and it was agreed that the small town mechanic would replace the shock and Schwabes would cut us a cheque for the warranty work done by the small town shop. It is such a delight to find an honest auto motive shop! They saved me a lot of money by being honest! Another shop told me I needed a list of repairs but I took it here for a second opinion and those repairs were not necessary! I will bring my SUV here from now on! Thank you!
This was my 'go-to' garage for several years. However, it would appear to me that service here has gone downhill. I had an appointment just before Christmas for an oil change and to check out a noise that I thought was a wheel bearing issue. They did the oil change but said that I didn't have a bearing problem, instead referring me to a Transmission/ Differential Repair Shop. I was warned that the problem could be in the $1000's.
