I own two businesses and paid Brian Boone to appraise both. One of the businesses is just me and the other has 3 employees, so these are small businesses. The cost ended up being exorbitant (more than $50k). And it took him half a year to complete the appraisals. Silva served as the forensic accountant for my divorse. He was charged with proving that I brought certain assets to the marriage. If he had explained what my burdon of proof was, I would have told him not to bother. 4 months and $50,000 later, I was told I didn't have the proof. That could have been determined on the first interview. I only communicated with him twice by email. On the first, I received a boiler plate in return.
