It seems that as long as things go well, Dr. Schnider is competent. My issue was not her bedside manner or skill as a surgeon, but what happened after my surgery. Complications can arise that no surgeon could have prevented. But when I went back to the ER a day later in terrible pain, and was admitted for a week, she kept telling me that the pain was just 'gas'. Dr. Schnider is kind, compassionate and knows her stuff. I felt very confident with Dr. Schnider as my surgeon yesterday. She went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and relaxed.
This woman should not be practising. She gave my mother a lumpectomy, which became badly infected. She then drained it. ( without gloves), gave Mum antibiotics, twice. No improvement. Then said she didnt know what else to do. What kind of answer is that. ??Facing cancer is tough as it is. This doctor should fired. Im disgusted how this was handled. My mum is still infected & in pain. I also would give her zero stars.
I felt compelled to leave my own review upon seeing the reviews here. I personally think Dr.Schneider was outstanding. Knowledgeable, thorough and straight to the point, as someone in her practice should be. I did not take her bedside manner as rude at all, but she is blunt and straight to the point, and her humour is dry and witty so I can see why it can be jarring at first and some more emotional or sensitive types can mistake that as poor bedside manner when in fact it’s just a different type of communication. Like one man said, reviews are funny because someone can have an off day. I will never know, however, as I waited 6 months for the call since my Dr referral, missed their 1 and only attempt at calling me when I was at work, and they left no voicemail. Save yourself the agony and find a professional.
