I won't use them again. They file extensions without notifying you. Took a month past April 15 to get my taxes filed and only after I complained to Karen Meiers. And they charged me $400 for a no-nonsense, straightforward tax return. Too bad, they used to be the best in town. Sadly, no longer.

I will NEVER refer Schneider, Larche, Haapala & Company, PLLC (Escanaba) for either personal or business accounting needs. I pulled my business from them back in 2021 after about 3-4 years of using them, due to lack of communication, late payments to the IRS, failed payments to MI unemployment tax, lack of due diligence on my behalf & poor accounting advice when it came to filing my taxes. I paid my services monthly (with receipts for proof) to them for any service rendered without delay, filed my taxes and paid for those ta... read more
