I am writing to bring to your attention a serious safety concern involving one of your drivers. On Aug 20 around 2:40 PM , I encountered a Schindler Elevator Company vehicle driving recklessly on Lougheed Highway . The driver was operating the vehicle in an extremely unsafe manner, exceeding speeds of 100 km/hr in a 70 km/hr zone while driving in the right lane. I live in a building that constantly has the elevator breaking down. we only have 2 for a 27 story building and are constantly only able to use one. Schindler once took SIX WEEKS to fix the one elevator. One day, both elevators were broken and several of us (including disabled) were forced to walk up over 20 flights of stairs. It’s unacceptable and this company is a DISGRACE. These issues should be fixed within 24-48 hours but they’re constantly “waiting on parts”. It’s horrible.
Tuesday Sept. 3, 2024... 7:30 am... North Vancouver... 100 block W. 15th St... Schindler truck parked in a handicapped loading/unloading parking spot. Completely unacceptable. 2 drivers on sidewalk chatting away, entirely oblivious.
Even the elevator is shut down, their service is good and fast response.
