Half the elevators in my building went down literally dozens of times per year. One tech was watching a YouTube video about how to fix an elevator. Can’t make this up, I’m not even joking.
Classic example of what happens when companies consolidate the market and then offer terrible and expensive service once they do. Did I mention that they make more revenue from repairs and maintenance than installs? Elevator down for 2 months. Glaring design flaws and cheap parts that appear to be manufactured that way on purpose to increase service calls. Canada needs to use legislation to ban these guys from doing any more installs.
Worst elevator company. The button to go up is never working. Always out of service. Sometimes for over 4 days. The staff and technicians are slow to respond and resolve problems. (BC Fraser Valley)
I am writing to bring to your attention a serious safety concern involving one of your drivers. On Aug 20 around 2:40 PM , I encountered a Schindler Elevator Company vehicle driving recklessly on Lougheed Highway . The driver was operating the vehicle in an extremely unsafe manner, exceeding speeds of 100 km/hr in a 70 km/hr zone while driving in the right lane.
