Dr. Laura Schiffer told me I didn't have peripheral neuropathy so I asked what the symptoms were. She refused to tell me. This is now years later a medical director at a major Toronto hospital told me I definitely have peripheral neuropathy. I understand doctors make mistakes but when a patient tells you something maybe listen rather than let your ego take over.
I went to Dr. Laura Schiffer, a Neurologist, at this place. It was the single worst doctor appointment I've ever had, I'm literally writing this solely, so people know to stay away from her. If you think, "Well, it's better than nothing." You'd be mistaken. She interrupted me constantly, I could get a word or two in before she'd go "No, not relevant", "That's not how this works", or something along those lines. Dr.Schiffer refused to see a patient that was referred by Family doctor for neurologist consultation.
Had an excellent experience with Dr. Schiffer - her diagnostic process and was thorough and she was extremely kind.
Dr. Schiffer is an excellent neurologist. She's been treating my daughter for migraines for a few years. She's very thorough, knowledgeable, and has a fantastic bedside manner. I would highly recommend Dr. Schiffer!
