I’ve been wanting to visit Schera’s for a decade, and made a date with my dad, a lover of Middle Eastern food, to travel the 2+ hours to Elkader for dinner and a Dave Moore show at the Opera House. First impressions — a bit shabby from the exterior view. There was no visible signage and the front windows, instead of employing awnings to block the sun, had heavy, sun-bleached and drab curtains blocking any view inside. A great place and the food is a breath of fresh air! Loved it and would totally recommend
Delicious Algerian cuisine with a fair number of American options as well. Outdoor seating has a pleasant view of Turkey River.
Tasty ethnic foods and fun waitress Too cool to sit out by river, that would have even been more enjoyable
This place is the best. Service is excellent. Cocktails made just right. Great food at a reasonable price. And an amazing view of the Turkey River right beside their deck!!!
