I was referred to Dr. Scheer for a sleep study for possible narcolepsy. I did a telehealth call with him one week later for the results. He said hello, and the next words were said to me with absolutely no empathy or caring… you have emphysema and should see a pulmonologist. After getting over the shock I finally asked him what about the narcolepsy. His answer was… I GUESS you have narcolepsy. After Dr. Scheer diagnosis of possible sleep apnea, he said someone will call me to set up an appointment to either obtain a take home sleep apnea test equipment or to schedule a sleep over to be tested. Four months have gone by with no phone calls or return phone calls from his staff; finally , out of no where, I get a call from his so called office manager, Barbara, who called to remind me of my appointment TOMORROW!
