Roy Scharf is knowledgeable, professional and excellent to work with. He configured a very complex solar system for us in Linesville, PA involving a 10.5 kWp ground mount array, battery backup (whole home) and a Generac 22.5 kW generator interconnect. Overall I have been very pleased with the system, with one caveat below. My only concern has been with the Sol-Ark inverter which has been very flaky since we got it. I did the usual calling and getting called by every solar installer for 200 miles. Everyone of them weren’t actually local and just felt off. I came across Roy’s business card somewhere and reached out. I’m glad I did. Before he ever came out he gave me rough idea of what I’d be looking at based on satellite view. He then came out and got full measurements and sat down with me to discuss the various options. Never once making me feel pressured. We hired Roy to install a 42 panel system with battery backup and connect us to the grid in the Fall of 2021. It has worked very well for us, we have not paid for any electric since March of 2022 ( it is now July 2023) and never know when others are experiencing a power outage. I am thinking about having him to install a system for another house we purchased.
