Terrible communication with repairs that exceeded the estimate by more than 20%. I encourage anyone looking for a repair shop to look elsewhere. My recommendation would be Mid-America Collision. I used them previously and they were fantastic. I wish I would have used them for my most recent repair needs. Lengthy details to follow... Schaefer is known in STL to be one of the best autobody shops so when it was on our insurance list to use in a claim I chose them. The work was immaculate, like it was brand new from the dealer. Often times even if work is good you can tell something is different or just not quite the same as it was when it was new. But they did an amazing job and all things considered it was done very quickly as well. Communication was solid the whole time. Thanks!!
I went in the other day with a few questions. When I walked in the receptionist was very kind and she went to grab Michael so he could help me. When he walked in he was rude and had an attitude with the receptionist. When I began talking and asking questions he was extremely condescending and short with me, he would not let me finish my sentences and kept cutting me off. I’ve taken our vehicles to Schaefers several times. Hail claims, accident claims, vandalism claims. Each time they’ve handled the whole process seamlessly, and communicated status updates on repairs clearly. They do a great job and I’d highly recommend this shop to anyone.
