Our theme to help celebrate National Skilled Nursing Care week is “SLC Employees Got Talent with all lot of Soul.” This was demonstrated yesterday by staff who performed during the Scenic Living Communities Talent Show. These talented and gifted performers entertained residents, visitors and fellow SLC staff with a variety of songs, skits, jokes and even magic proving the fact that yes, they have talent and a lot of soul!
To celebrate National Skilled Nursing Care week, we've planned to host several special guests and events. Mary Porter and her friend, Suzi Q were on hand to entertain the residents of Scenic Manor. Mary is a ventriloquist.

It is amazing how one person can make a huge difference in the lives of others! For the last several months Bob Forr has shared his artistic talent with Scenic Manor residents. He has taught them the basic techniques of painting. In addition, Bob has encouraged them to use these teachings to create beautiful pieces of art. Recently, he presented each student with framed photos that he had taken during the art classes. Thank you Bob for making a difference! An art show is currently being planned for mid-June.

Our dear sweet friend Colette Swieter was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Anyone who knows Colette would agree she is the kindest person you will ever meet.
