As a physician myself, I can say, with authority, that Dr. Scelfo is probably the best primary care physician in town. He is extremely up to date on the medical literature regarding any problems I have, typically to the level of a specialist - in several areas. A very knowledgeable and thorough doctor. Highly recommend.
A five year relationship, and it couldn't be more impersonal. Next day visit is a promise not kept, they don't have the prescriptions send in a timely manner, and never got to talk to doctor when needed. Our bay was late April, and we sent all the information to the office, and they never care to ask about her. The clinic doesn't live up to their promises, we are moving our family to a doctor that really cares.
DR Scelfo is a great doctor. The only reason I am a live today is DR Scelfo. In Dec 2015 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had Cheo, radiation etc. After all this was finished I continued to have other problems. Dr Scelfo found I had pneumonia, later a condition known as Cdef (which could have killed me) then later Shingles. In March of 2018 I needed a pacemaker. Dr. Scelfo diagnosed all of the conditions the first year I was his patient. Today I'm healthy and live a very active life, thanks to DR JAMES SCELFO.
One of the best doctors in Orlando. A doctor who takes the time, to review your full medical history and work up. Easy appointments and a staff that is responsive. This is a private pay doctor, that means your insurance may not cover all tests or visits. This is explained up front, and frankly all you need to do is google private pay doctors to understand why the benefits far outweigh any drawback.
The one-star reviewer here gives one star to virtually everything he reviews. Dr. Scelfo has been a Godsend to our entire family. From making a proper diagnosis in minutes that three other local doctors couldn’t. Managing ALL our healthcare needs, from medications, in-house blood work, seeking out and scheduling appointments for specialists, reachable via phone 24 hours, much like healthcare used to be and should be again. Worth every penny of the membership fees!
