A few years ago I decided I wanted to embrace my natural curl after 20+ years of daily blowdrying and straightening. I found Universe when searching for curly hair specialists and she has cut my hair ever since! She’s also helped me learn how to care for my curls, recommended awesome products, and designed a routine for me that’s easy to follow. Very grateful for all of Universe’s expert guidance!

Went in for highlights and a haircut and came out with literal tiger stripes and a scratched cornea. The owners did not charge me for that service but did not offer to fix it for free either. I ended up at the emergency room to treat my eye that the stylist scratched and burned with repeated color fixes. I had to have several conversations over FaceTime with the owner, and they simply didn’t care about an important interview schedule and refused to accommodate me accordingly. Brought my autistic preteen here for detangling of bleach damaged and extremely matted hair. Everyone was super friendly! The salon offers snacks and drinks, which is a nice touch. Mary was recommended by a friend, so we booked with her specifically. She called ahead of the appointment to get a sense of what was needed, and was completely judgement free.
