Union County (without investigating the company) motioned to offer $120m+ FILO to a less than reputable company, wanting to build a data center. As residents we felt as though we had no where to turn. The environmental and economic impact would be devastating. NO ONE wants to live near a data center. Most in this town cannot afford the increased utilities. Many would be stuck and left with no hope to leave or desire to stay. SCELP is the strongest and most trustworthy environmental protection organization in the State of South Carolina. They were key to helping preserve the Ingram Dunes in North Myrtle Beach and now they are working with us to.preserve Waites Island. Damien Triouleyre, Preserve Waites Island.
This is a wonderful organization that works tirelessly to defend the Wild Side of South Carolina.
