A close family member was recently diagnosed with a meningioma, and unfortunately our experience at The Spine and Brain Institute left us with significant concerns…. don't get how if im late as a patient i have to reschedule but its ok for the doctor to let me sit there almost 2 hours past my appt time with no update from the staff and the reason they gave me is that the doctor likes to be very personal with each patient then my favorite employee got fired. glad I changed doctor offices

A hundred stars!! Dr. Derek Duke, a superior brain surgeon who operated on my lower back 13 years never ever had a problem since. There isn’t enough I could say about him. He’s just the very best. He has quite a reputation in the southwest of the United States as being an excellent, excellent surgeon. He is the doctor that they contacted when Sigfried and Roy. The gentleman‘s name is Roy. I have a neurological condition which causes me to have extremely high CSF fluid and lose my vision. my neurologist referred me to this practice almost a month ago. I've left several voicemails and nobody from their new patient department has reached out to me and so I called their main number and pressed 8 to speak to someone and the young girl that I just spoke to was extremely nasty and rude and refused to get me any sort of answers and at this point I need to go to the hospital and all I asked was what hospitals do the n... read more

I'm glad to see so many on here received relief from Dr duke. I even had many close friends use him as a surgeon and he was wonderful for them. But if there's any complications or the operation doesn't succeed... he will show you the door. I had 2 surgeries , laminectomy L3 through s1, foramenatomy and discectomy L4 and L5. 6 months after the second surgery I still had a tremendous amount of pain worse than when we started and a lot of swelling that would add to the pain.
