I have been trying to get electric service transferred to our company on a church property that we purchased and are remodeling. We have our EIN from the IRS on the IRS letterhead. I was told that the IRS giving us the EIN was not sufficient, that they had to have a form 147C (whatever that is) or a form SS-4. The SS-4 is the APPLICATION FOR THE EIN.
