They are masters of the bait and switch on pricing. They will tell you anything to get you to sign a 12 month lease. Told us we could go month to month for $100 extra after the lease was up. Now at renewal time they are charging a penalty of $800/month (50% increase). We have only 6 months to go until our house is finished and they knew this from the beginning.
