Mom lived here for about 6 months in their memory care unit. We had high hopes for Ambiance, considering it is now owned by Providence, though we were ultimately disappointed. We live out of state,and we asked the leadership team for simple, regular updates about the care given to Mom. Sadly, we were refused. Many of our communications to these leaders went unanswered. Unfortunately, this was not the right place for my dad, but I was blown away by the kindness shown from the Director, Kim, as my mom and I arrived on a Sunday, unannounced, in a panic to find a place for my dad. She was very calm, encouraging and took time to help us even when she knew Ambiance was not the right place for his needs.
Moving my mom, Edith, into assisted living was such a hard decision, but meeting Kimberly Tesla at Ambiance at Maitland changed everything. Kim’s warmth, sincerity, and genuine interest in my mom as a person (not just a resident) made all the difference! She made the transition feel like a true “Welcome Home” My mom is happier and more social than she’s been in years, singing karaoke, carving pumpkins, and truly thriving.
