Savannah Galleries Savannah Galleries, founded in 1968 by Daniel Kaminsky and Murray Perlman, native Savannahians, became an extension of a ten year collecting hobby. Mr. Kaminsky is a graduate of Emory University and attended Harvard University and George Washington University Law School. Mr Perlman attended The Citadel and graduated from Spring Hill College. Nope. Tourist trap. Over priced work, service here is horrible, pieces are not creative, not fresh, not new.
Fantastic art gallery with local artists! The artist working the gallery had her work displayed too and it was gorgeous. She walked us through the different artists and gave us stories about the artists and pictures displayed. She had a painting of a blue crab up on the wall and it was beautiful. Skip some of the tourist traps like the Prohibition Museum and visit here instead!
Beautiful art studio with some fabulous local work. We enjoyed the unique techniques and media types that were displayed here. The photographer that was working at the gallery was very kind and spoke with us nearly the whole time and answered all of our questions. Definitely worth a visit.
Stayed at the riverside Marriott hotel. Best location ever everything you wanted everything you needed at your fingertips, a stone for away from the heart of Savannah.
