My mothers experience included repeated failure to deal with pain, repeated infection with dangerous MRSA infections, skin cancer ignored despite repeated requests to have it examined and broken bones. No abuse, but serious neglect. Worse, they react to the discovery of life-threatening neglect by antagonizing the family.
