The Savannah Civic Center consists of two venues, where there's much action and fun to catch up with. 'The Martin Luther King Arena', is a huge arena with a capacity of 3,500 people. We bought tickets for the Maze concert and they changed the venue. Everybody knows that you just can't sit down at Frankie Beverly and Maze concert. And they switched it to the theater which is hot, cramped and you can't stand, WTF! That's the worst decision ever made.. Who the hell is the PROMOTER?
This place is in dire need of new Stage Management and technical crew. I would refrain from buying any tickets until this issue is addressed. Don't waste your money.
Four of us attended Menopause The Musical last night at the Savannah Civic Center. Two of us had seen it before and loved it. However, last night something was wrong with the sound system. It was impossible to understand anything the performers said or sang. The volume was fine but the clarity was awful. Many people left in frustration before performance was over. Attended a musical last night and it was a terrible experience. The sound was awful- loud enough but couldn't understand anything. We sat on sixth row from stage and then moved to back. Both locations were terrible. Have no desire to return. Money should be refunded !
