Dr Winchell is a true God-send! (Back-story) Four years ago I was told by Optim Orthopedics that I needed a hip replacement because mine was deteriorating, but first I needed to lose weight, which would also help with my pain. So over a year or so I dropped about 50 lbs, the amount I was told to lose, while my hip grew increasingly worse. Losing weight made no positive difference. After 2.5 years of knee pain and a previous surgery, by a different surgeon, I found Dr. Winchell. Within two weeks, I had an MRI and was scheduled for surgery. He knew I had been through so much already and he wanted to end my pain and help me return to my normal lifestyle. I just had surgery 10 days ago and I went for my follow up today.
