IM responding to post ontwitter. The old owner EJ was fantastic. New owner is a bozo. This place didn't fix my car at all when I brought it in. I can't verify that the parts our overcharged since I tossed receipt but my mechanic fixed work they did bcz they didn't know what they're doing. I would agree to avoid going to Metro Tire.
After seeing the twitter post Iooked at my receipt.I found my parts were marked up over 200% as well and that the facility ID is not on my receipt either. I must have been one of the lucky ones because my car seems to be running right although I think owner's brother worked on my car because he was test driving it and telling me what was wrong with it. But according to owner he was just helping out and isn't a licensed mechanic
I made an appointment to get my AC checked, when I arrived I was told I would have to wait an hour because “he” had just left for lunch. Seriously? I used my lunch to come here for an APPOINTMENT. No apologies offered, counter clerk just scoffed. Jerks!
I purchased four new tires from Sterling. After about six months I developed a “shimmy” while driving. Two different alignment people, one of them Sterling had sent me to, said I had a bad tire. Evan, who owns Sterling, refused to look at the tire or even contact his alignment guy to find out what the problem was. A Sterling employee scratched three of my rims while rotating tires. Quick and great service. Car was in the shop within a couple of hours after calling for an appointment. Friendly staff. Terrific price! Very happy.
After years of professional quality service from the old management I will NOT go back. New people ordered wrong sensor valves for the new tires, had to go back ,waited 3 hours for them to put them on then was told they could not set the sensors because they didn't have a cord for my car model to set them. They told me I could go to Belle tire to have it set, after I paid this place $640.00 (& they requested it in cash). Followed with the comment "Well, we didn't have pressure sensors years ago". on oct 30 I went to have my truck checked for hard starting, the mech said I needed 2 battery,s at a cost of $400, I left and went to express tire, they checked and found a loose connection on the post. one battery was fine. the cost was $124, this was my second problem with them,i will not be back.
