Unfortunately, obituaries are outsourced to a third-party. Imagine writing and providing Saunders Funeral Home's vendor with your mother's obituary and discovering the incorrect date listed at her funeral, in addition to subsequently contacting the vendor who did not assume responsibility, apologize, or subsequently providing additional obituaries, with the correct date. Choosing them is the BEST decision anyone could make when it comes to your loved ones! Many people have passed in my family and the experiences at other funeral homes was nothing like this one. My little brother was not only handled with care and dignity, but the staff was prompt and professional and kind and warm. They were truly meant to be in this line of work, I couldn't imagine his service being held anywhere else. My husband Gregory Brown passed on 10/23/25 in chapel hill UNC Hospital. They made all the arrangements to pick his body up and return him to Jacksonville.
