I am extremely disgusted with my visit to Saugus. Today while I was inside the Square One Shopping Mall, I received a ticket/violation for not having an expiration date on my handicapped placard that was hanging from my rear view mirror. My problem is that my placard is a “permanent“ handicap placard issued by the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration which means it DOES NOT EXPIRE!!! They fired folks just 2 months from being fully vested. Now after over 30 years of service, they won’t get their pensions. Their lives were ruined. Anyone involved in this should be voted out!
My sister moved to an apartment in Saugus a couple years ago right off the Main St Saugus Exit off Route 1 South... thankfully I don't have to worry about her there, it's a very quiet and residential area and the streets are well maintained, with a lot of newly paved areas. I even see children actually playing outside on her street! Saugus seems like a nice place to live and raise a family.
