Sauer Boatbuilding was the best resource available to me while refitting and repowering my vintage Niagara 35. Jens and his assistant Christian were amazing, knowledgeable and service-oriented and prices very fair. They aided and abetted me in my refit, stored there a few winters to get work done, I was able to do the work I needed to do and hired them to do the things where a pro was required, and they are totally professional and very well equipped with tools and equipment. Sauer Boatbuilding and Maintenance is a full service boat yard located on Ross Pond, West Bay, Bras d'Or Lake on Cape Breton Island. Marion and Jens Sauer founded the company in 1999. Jens Sauer immigrated from Germany as a fully trained boat builder. A few years later he qualified for the Boat Builder Trade in Canada.
