All loaded up and ready to drive out of town and my totally dependable Subaru would not start. Something seriously wrong. As the car never needed work, I didn't have a local mechanic... I called Satch Works. Like all the great shops in town, he was booked out for 6 weeks and he was also short handed right before Labor Day. I've used Satch for years. Just had my maintenance check performed before a long trip to San Diego. I asked if tires were checked,they said they had. When i got back my tire warning light was on, took it back and were told and saw both fronts completely balled. I am partially to blame for not checking them myself but ...Lucky i didn't have a blowout and will try another shop next time.
I was visiting PT for a music festival, but after the 4-hour drive from Portland, my 2003 Honda CRV started stalling and wouldn't idle--and I'd spent a bunch money having it serviced before leaving! My local friends said this place was the best. It was the week of July 4, so they were only going to be open three days. I had no appointment, and when I arrived I could tell they were very busy. But I told my sad story, and they took pity on me and worked me in. They had my car fixed the next day (it was a torn air intake hose) ... read more
