Recently, I reacquainted with an old friend, and we decided to start having breakfast on Sunday mornings at Sassafras. The third time we went there, the head waiter or maitre'd asked us if we were getting the usual, and we said yes. I'm one of those guys who needs all the little tweets to his order, and this young man remembers and gets our order exactly right every time. I opted to stay in Shelton, CT when I had some business in Stratford, CT. I searched for a suitable breakfast place on my return tip in order to get filled up with some good food and coffee. Turns out that Sassafras was pretty much right on my way home. It's definitely a quiet, unassuming place that's sort of hidden behind a gas station and in another weirdly concocted shopping complex. This is my towns favorite breakfast place, excellant breakfast, Ryan, Louise, and Dorothy, Sheena is all like our family. they will take great care of you, it is always fresh, and a great family place !
