Very impressed with my experience with Sash window restoration, our restoration tradesman arrived on time at 7.30 and worked tirelessly until all windows were restored, could not tell he had been the clean up was incredible. Worth the investment definitely. Won’t hesitate to call Scott if other windows need restoration in the future .
We recently asked Sash Window Restorations to replace a lot of old glass in the large front windows in our Victorian house. Glavenir seemed to be the ideal solution providing very high levels of insulation while fitting within the existing wooden window frames (including sash windows). The process is not quick since the glass must come from Japan, but Scott and his team communicated with great efficiency, and despite a few hiccups with the installation, they have done a wonderful job. Rang them as a Kew/Abbotsford local and they want $300 just to provide a quote. Completely ridiculous and as soon as I raised it, the guy was rude and hung up. Nowhere on the quote page of the website is mentioned, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered. They clearly only mention it when they call. Otherwise I would not have wasted my time. They pull the old line that its for "a consultation" yet other companies consider quoting a cost of doing business. If you want local work, this is not how to do it. I had Sash Window Restorations come to my home and fit fly screens in all of the windows and draught seals around the doors. I was very pleased with the result; the screens were measured and fitted with care and really complete the look of the windows, I can't believe I went for so long without them. The drought seals around the doors have made such a difference! I would also like to add that they were courteous, professional and very respectful whilst in my home.This demonstrates how they take great pride in what they do.
