We were ever so blessed to have been able to be cared for by these excellent veterinary urgent care office. My fur baby/service dog unfortunately has had 2 separate episodes of eating Bees 🐝 and has sent her into the need for emergency care due to EXTREME swelling of her face. 19 days ago I brought my recently turned 4 year old cat here because he wasn’t feeling well, decreased appetite and not acting himself. We were referred here by our vet because they could not see him during working hours for another two days. After a X-ray and ultrasound, Dr. Lopez came in to tell him me he had stomach cancer and that I could take him to UF Veterinary and spend $10,000 to attempt to treat him or would need to put him down within a few days. Horrible service by Dr. Coello. I don’t know about you but I’ve never heard of someone doing stitches for a deep wound and not giving a course of antibiotics. Well, this doctor decided to not clean the wound properly, AND did not give a course of antibiotics even after being asked about it. Due to this negligence, the wound became severely worse and infected and had to go back for another visit to get properly cleaned out and restitched. Imagine the discomfort. Dr. Smith, Dr. Roe, and Vet Tech Julia really went above and beyond for the care of my dog! They are amazing and I can’t recommend this practice enough!
Very regretful that we took our cat here. I felt like the staff was very uncompasionate. Already being upset that my pet wasn’t feeling good, I felt even worse by how the staff were. Not welcoming or comforting at all. They took my cat in another room without explanation and I had to keep asking questions because they were so uninformative. And they were not friendly with their responses. I understand we all have bad days but please be kind and show some compassion for these pets and their families.
