Stopped at another Sarku in the Valley Fair. Needless to say, this place is way better. Food was amazing as always, and was done extremely fast.
Sarku is definetly one of my TOP Go-to places to eat for their chicken Teriyaki plate. It comes with white rice or noodles I like the white rice. I usually order extra steamed veggies and the star of the show the Chicken Teriyaki. So good I could eat this place at least once a week. When you receive the plate from the cook here's a life hack. ASK FOR A SCOOP OF THE TERIYAKI SAUCE OVER EVEYTHING. You'll thank me later.
This is the most enjoyable and highest-quality Sakura Japan I’ve ever visited, both in terms of food and service. I live near Westfield and go there often, and sometimes I’m left unsatisfied—but when I come here, the portions seem much heartier, more filling, and more appetizing. This Sakura Japan is the best in the Bay Area.

I am extremely disappointed to report that the service at this location has not improved despite multiple complaints to corporate. I visited on Feb 18, 2026, around 7:00 PM, and faced the same ongoing issues: no condiment cups for Sriracha and a hostile staff. When I asked for Sriracha, a worker was incredibly rude, shouting "No, no, you only get one," while the manager stood by and refused to offer any assistance or packets.
