So. The good. The service - our waitress was great. We were a very large group- 18 with several children. She did a great job. The food - the pasta was cook pretty good- but someone needs to tell the chef about spices. There was absolutely no taste. No salt or pepper or anything. This was Italian food - oregano something The capers salad was a disgrace- the tomatoes were off and the one sprig of basil was wilted and brown- I would never have played at like that. Good service and good vibes. Interesting interpretation of some of the menu items.
I had the carbonara. The spaghetti was overcooked to the point of being sticky. Another in our party had the Arrabiata and their pasta was undercooked severely - not al dente. The sausage was also not great. We ordered the bruschetta and while it looked impressive the taste was underwhelming. Maybe focus on the taste rather than the portion as we scraped much of the topping off as it was too much. And spicy which wasn’t at all expected.
Our go to Italian spot in the area and we’ve tried them all. Definitely the best by far. Pasta made in house. Recommend: the vodka sauce pasta, calamari, and focaccia .
