When I went to get my new glasses, they found something they couldn't explain & sent me to Sarasota Retina Institute. After a few appointments & tests, they were unable to figure out what the issue was and suggested I go to Bascom Palmer, which I did. Turns out, I had a detached retina. You'd think an office with retina in the name, could figure out I have a detached retina. I live in Naples, so what a waste of time and money!
Worst office staffs. Try to get an appointment they said don’t call us we call you. It has been 3 weeks.
I was seen by Dr. Jody Abrams in December 2025 at SRI and had a very productive appointment. The individuals at the reception desk were thoughtful, kind and efficient, and the practice was run smoothly and efficiently. Dr. Abrams was caring and had great chairside manner. I will definitely be seeing him again in the future for a follow-up for this first appointment. Several things need to be noted, however. The office staff we're helpful, caring and professional. Dr Levy seemed very personable and caring. With this being said, having patients wait for over 3 hours or more is unacceptable. While speaking with other patients, I discovered this has been going on for years. There is absolutely no regard for other people's time. Shameful.
This place is a JOKE, you’re here for HOURS when they have nothing organized and stand in the main room talking all about their personal shit when you can hear them no problem but they can’t come in the room. DR LEVY IS THE BIGGEST JOKE AND THE WORST DOCTOR!!!! What kind of Dr calls a patient a liar to her face when I tell him how MY veins work n he still doesn’t care n hurts me like I said would happen then leaves saying he Has no more time to try my other arm for a vein when this is literally his JOB.
