Do not go to sarasota memorial if you have an emergency. I was having heart issues and they took 2 hours to get me to a room.
I was there on a Saturday after being referred by a walk-in clinic. We drove right up to valet parking and were immediately taken care of. It took three stops to find the actual ER registration desk, but not a huge inconvenience. We were seen right away. Wait was maybe 10 minutes total to be seen by RN for examination. My son came there from the Toledo Blade emergency room with a room. They made him spend 45 minutes in the lobby, even though he had a room assigned to him. No one seems to communicate there you can sit there for hours days and nobody will get back to you. You have to be an advocate for yourself and I think that is disgusting. I don’t understand how a hospital can run like this.
