I love seeing Dr. Whittaker, I actually get to see her every time, not just an PA/NP. She is really nice and upfront, I was concerned about some food allergies and mentioned seeing an allergist. She said that she could send me a recommendation if I would like, but also recommended an allergy food test that is on Amazon! She could have just sent me the referral but she went out of her way to show me what test she recommend, the test would be a lot cheaper than going to see a specialist. She rarely made eye contact and was not very good at following through on instructions. She would make changes to meeications but not authorize them with pharmacy. When I said we had a communication problem, she refused to see me any more. This left me scrambling for a new primary before my hip replacement surgery
If your looking for a new dr. good luck you can't get in til Nov 2024...
While I have no doubt that Dr Whitaker knows her position, I left and found another PCP because I felt like I was getting " Churned and Burned" . In other words, she just came in typed notes on the computer and left. I need a " preferred care partner" not a " preferred care preacher".
