Dr. Karina is awful! She's rude and unprofessional. She doesn't care about her patients and instead enjoys making them feel small. I had a terrible experience with her when I was worried about my baby's health. She scoffed at me and made me feel like I was overreacting. It's shocking that someone in the medical profession can be so heartless. Don't go to her, find a doctor who actually cares about you and treats you with respect. I brought my three-year-old in to address stool withholding. Being that Dr. Karjoo is a pediatrician I thought perhaps she would be friendly with my son. Not the case, she did not address him directly at all, nor did she even introduce herself to him. Her bedside manner (or lack of it) did not help my already nervous son. In addition to having zero rapport with her patient, she also mentioned that perhaps I was at the wrong office as she is a gastroenterologist. I have had about the same experience with Dr. Irizarry as the others. The office staff is little rough and at times rude. Not professional. They also have a front glass window at reception that the keep closed. Probably for confidentiality but used to separate patients. We were sent there as a referral from our primary. I have since advised my doctor that it wasn’t a good match. The doctor is not punctual by any means and not a lot of help. She almost seems annoyed. I’m sure there is a better option out there. She is fantastic and saved my child!!!!! Highly recommend
This doctor was unable to honor the second appointment we had with her. After waiting over an hour an twenty minutes, they sent in a nurse practitioner. She did a fast exam and then sent us on our way. On the way out, they asked to schedule a 8 week follow-up and told us we coukd schedule with the NP, as if we are paying the high specialist co-pay to see a nurse! The first time we met with this doctor we also waited over an hour. She was nice, but I do not recommend since she doesnt show up!
Would Highly recommend. She was thorough and knowledgable. She mad my teenager feel comfortable. Really a doll.
Appointment was for diagnosis treatment plan/follow up. From check in time until the doctor come in the room was 1 hour. She said "tell me whats going on" this was not a conversation starter she had not read the chart or labs. She was missing lab results & went to "get the information" From the time she came in the room until we left it was another hour. (2hrs 15 min) This doctors only solution was to take the strongest drug available for the reset of my child's life. No alternatives
Look no further. Dr. Karjoo is fantastic. You and your child will love her.
