Scheduled a colonoscopy 3 months ago for this week since my mother died of colon cancer at 69 and her father died at 36 of colon cancer. Was told today that it would be a diagnostic colonoscopy because it has only been 5 years not 10. Given that strong family history, I questioned this, especially since I had not seen Dr. Martin in 5 years and not complained of any symptoms. I worked security at YRMC East for 3 years. When Dignity Health acquired YRMC East they closed the front lobby after 4:00 PM on weekdays and closed all day on weekends. Patients and visitors are instructed to enter through the ED lobby. The parking there is limited and intended for patients. As a result, quite often the ED parking lot is full and elderly and infirmed patients/visitors must park out front and walk to the ED. I am having severe pain in my left knee had to use a walker due to pain On Monday the August 25 around 1030 x ray done Staff was excellent. Now Thursday and it now tells me it a Radiologist to read it and make a report. Up to 5 days needed Really either you need more Radiologists on staff or send your films out for readings. My experience at St. Joseph Hospital was a nightmare, primarily due to Dr. Cody Gilbert’s outrageous behavior. He was incredibly rude and unprofessional, aggressively yelling at both me and my aunt. He had the audacity to accuse me of faking my condition, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, and even told me I shouldn’t be at the hospital. Gilbert complete lack of care, respect, and professionalism was shocking and inexcusable. I would give zero stars if I could. I went to this ER with a dislocated shoulder, expecting at least basic care and a reasonable wait time. Instead, I was triaged, given X-rays, and then left to suffer for four hours without any further evaluation, treatment, or even an update on when I’d be seen. Not a single person checked on me. The lack of urgency and care for patients in severe pain was unbelievable. If they were too overwhelmed to provide timely treatment, the least they could have done was advise me to seek help else... read more
i am very hard to impress, the staff at franciscan hospice will always hold a special place in my heart. their staff was amazing with my daughter and all of our family. if i was unable to be there they kept me fully informed on everything. i will and have highly recomended them to friends and family in need of this kind of service. i can not thank all the staff enough for the compassion during the hardest time of our lives. we will be forever greatful for all you. sincerely, katie schroedle ... read more

I would not recommend anyone to go here.. out of my 5 scheduled appts, they cancelled 2 of them because of the therapist was out and today I had a scheduled appointment and when I got there they cancelled my appointment even though I had a printout showing I had an appointment today! What a waste of my time!! I ******I had to pick a star to post this********BUT I WOULDN''T GIVE IT ANY STARS******
The worst medical center in Burien. Those who have left good rating most definitely are not on government medical insurance. Highline is a treatment center so if your history is subject to substance abuse they treat you how you prolonged your life. A REAL HOSPITAL WELL NOT DIS CHARGE you from being admitted WITHOUT HAVING A BRIEFING WITH NURSES OR OTHER PHYSICIANS before being discharged..
