Quite Disappointing – Expensive, but poor miso soup, small portions, gyoza like overfried hamburger. Complained about one piece of sushi that should not have been used even as bait - clearly bad. At our favorite Japanese restaurant - which I will not reveal; it is crowded enough - the Owner would have given us the meal for free. Here, the Owner clearly did not agree - brought two more pieces of previously frozen whatever fish. Stay away ...
Newton Centre favorite – My fiance and I used to go here a lot when we lived in this neighborhood. Good food and great service.
Subterranean Newton Centre eatery serves up fresh sushi, as well as a bevy of Japanese and Korean favorites. – In Short Located below ground, just a stone's throw from the Newton Centre T stop, Sapporo's pleasant, nondescript dining room serves as a go-to spot for area residents with a hankering for sushi. Besides the raw stuff, the restaurant serves standard Japanese favorites (tempura, teriyaki, noodle soups) and Korean fare like bi bim bap.
